The prime purpose of the InfoCare
system is to collect data about the delivered homecare
service. This alone is extremely useful to help
optimise commissioning, monitor contract compliance,
improve staff safety, reduced timesheet administration,
etc. However, this relies on data integrity which
simply cannot be achieved by first-generation systems
that use the time of a telephone call, within very wide
tolerances, to define arrival and departure times.
The Burall InfoCare system was
specifically designed to ensure data integrity by
placing a terminal with each Service User's home.
It overcomes some real objections which have been found
with systems which use the Service User's telephones:
